Resiliency
KAI Hawaii is committed to providing climate resilient designs and building resiliency into the community. It is critical our buildings and infrastructure are resistant to climate change impacts such as hurricanes, earthquakes, flooding, and tsunamis. Our essential facilities need to be operational after these natural disasters which include highways, bridges, water, wastewater, piers, emergency shelters, and hospitals. Performance-based design. Additionally, we are challenged with aging buildings and infrastructures that need to be optimally strengthened for resiliency such as for emergency shelters, and building and bridge retrofits.
